Residential Group Homes
The Independent Living Services Department boasts of its four
cozy group homes located here in Lake County. We have two
basic Developmental Homes, one male and one female. We also
have two Intensive Training Homes, both male and female.
Two homes are in the lovely wooded St. John community. Both
homes were especially designed for the needs of the physically
disabled individual. We have walk-in showers included with
rails and bars to make each bathroom easily accessible for
any home resident. These two homes are also equipped with
wheelchair ramps, for easy access in and out of the home.
The male home residency has a spacious deck looking out to
the backyard, as well as a well-used basketball court. The
female residency has a beautiful backyard vista overlooking
acres and acres of farmland. Perfect for barbecues and summer
enjoyment, as well as cross-country skiing.
No matter what the season families of deer frequent both homes.
In the town of Crown Point we have two Intensive Training
Homes. The male home is nestled between lovely homes in a
very nice community, located near area schools, parks, and
St. Anthony’s Hospital. This home has a spacious family
room, deck, and picnic area. The men also have a basketball
net located in the driveway. The female residency is located
on a large wooden lot, where they can enjoy a roomy deck overlooking
the woodlands.
