Accomplish Goals
Since 1967, TradeWinds has been helping thousands of children and adults with
special needs realize their full potential, equipping them with the tools and
training they need to accomplish their personal goals. At TradeWinds, we are
passionate about the work that we do and the smiling faces we work with on a
daily basis. We care about each and every one of the individuals we serve,
providing hope and inspiration to those seeking it most.
The services and training that TradeWinds provides are designed to promote
individual choice, growth, and self-sufficiency for people of all ages and
abilities. It is our mission to enhance the quality of life for both the
individuals we serve and the community-at-large.
Tradewinds Business Solutions
Provides training and employment opportunities for clients while providing solutions
to businesses in the community.
Provides job placement with the assistance of an employment specialist, along with
job training and follow-along service (per participant request). Helping adults
with varying abilities, Work Solutions provides each participant with an individualized
case management plan that helps match their skill level with employers in Northwest
Indiana.
Offers commercial subcontracting services to businesses and industries throughout
the United States. From packaging and assembly needs to contract sewing, our crew
members have built a reputation for quality work and on-time services.
Established in 1995, the TradeWinds Sign Shoppe produces an array of different signage
to businesses within the region. We specialize in creating banners, displays and
exhibits, vehicle graphics, decals, magnets, and so much more.
Understanding Who We Are
Our service and development departments provide an array of assistance to TradeWinds children, adults, and families.
Assistance to children from newborns to seven years of age. Individualized plans
are constructed for every child based on his or her needs. Services include a variety
of therapy, after school care, child care, Parents-As-Teachers program, tutoring,
and summer camp (school age 5-14).
Serves seniors and adults by providing a safe and caring environment, meals, and
transportation. Also provides participants with social interaction, specialized
care, and recreational activities.
Equips seniors and adults that are visually impaired with the skills, options, and
equipment they need to be self-sufficient and independent while working, living,
and enjoying their community.
TradeWinds Basic Development Homes and Intensive Training Homes are designed to
best match every adult with the independent living environment most suited to his
or her abilities. TradeWinds currently has five group homes in which all residents
have access to round-the-clock support services to ensure the health, safety, and
welfare of each individual. TradeWinds programs also has semi-independent living
sites.
Training and social program that serves adults with more severe and pervasive needs.
Program is designed to work with participants in group settings and on an individual
basis.
Committed to Person-Centered planning, this service empowers every adult to take
an active role in establishing their goals and objectives. Each individual is encouraged
to explore choices and achieve his or her personal potential.
